Jutta Drabek-Hasselmann was born in Bremen. She lives and works in Bremen, Kiel and Berlin.
After studying graphic design at the University of the Arts Bremen, she worked as an art director for magazines and advertising agencies.

She has been staging exhibitions and taking photographs for museums and cultural organizations for more than a decade. She develops her own photo projects in her studio, presents her works in exhibitions and publishes.
Her first photo book was published in 2024.
